Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about our courses, consultations, plans and mentoring.
Getting Started
How do I get started?
Create a free account, explore our courses and mentors, and choose what fits your stage of training: a single lesson, a full course, a subscription or a 1:1 consultation.
How is PilotForge Pro different from a flight school?
Flight schools (ATOs) teach what you need to pass the exams for licences and ratings. We don't replace them. We prepare you for each stage: the process, the requirements, the real costs and the common pitfalls, plus the technical and equipment knowledge you'll need along the way.
Is registration free?
Yes. A free account unlocks detailed course information and lesson topics, and gives you free access to selected trainings and webinars.
Courses
What do the courses cover?
Each course gives you the essential knowledge to move smoothly through a specific stage of training. They are built on the experience of hundreds of student journeys and show you the risks and mistakes that can add hundreds or even thousands of euros to your training.
How many courses are there?
11 courses with over 150 lesson topics, from your first steps towards becoming a pilot all the way to airline assessment preparation. See all courses →
Can I buy a single lesson?
Yes. You can buy a single lesson, get a discount by buying a whole course, or choose a subscription. The subscription is the most cost-effective option, because it includes all newly released trainings and additional services.
Consultations
How do 1:1 consultations work?
Choose a topic, find a mentor by expertise, experience and price, and book a 30-minute video call through your dashboard. Consultations are held in English. Learn more →
How much does a consultation cost?
Each mentor sets their own rate, starting from €50 per 30-minute session. Rates are visible once you're logged in. Silver and Gold plans include consultation hours and discounts on mentor rates.
Who are the mentors?
Pilots at every stage of their career, from recently licensed pilots to instructors, examiners and airline captains, as well as other aviation professionals, such as aviation psychologists. Meet our mentors →
Pricing & Plans
What plans do you offer?
Three subscriptions: Bronze (€40/month), Silver (€65/month) and Gold (€100/month). Every plan includes unlimited access to all portal content, thematic chats and the school selector. Silver and Gold add support-team chat, consultation hours and mentor discounts. Compare plans →
Is there a discount for yearly billing?
Yes. Paying yearly gives you two months free: €400, €650 or €1,000 per year.
Can I change my plan later?
Yes, at any time. Moving to a higher plan takes effect immediately and you only pay the difference for the remaining period. Moving to a lower plan takes effect from the next billing period, so nothing you already paid for is lost.
Are there any long-term contracts?
No. Your subscription renews monthly or yearly and you can cancel whenever you want. The yearly option is simply cheaper — you pay for ten months and get twelve.
What happens if I cancel my subscription?
You keep full access until the end of the period you have already paid for. After that your account stays active on the free level — your progress and completed courses remain in your profile.
Do you offer group or institutional pricing?
Yes. For ATO schools, flying clubs and groups of students we prepare individual terms. Write to us and tell us how many seats you need.
Add-ons
What is the community chat?
Permanent access to chat with other students and instructors: ask questions, share ideas and learn together. Available for a one-time €10, or included in every subscription.
What is the School Selector?
A tool that lets you compare flight schools' offers and pricing side by side, so you can choose the right training centre without reading every offer from start to finish. Permanent access for a one-time €10, or included in every subscription.
For Mentors
How can I become a mentor?
If you're an experienced pilot, instructor or aviation professional, apply through our mentor application form. You can work with us in four ways: as a course author, through 1:1 consultations, by hosting webinars or by supporting students on our Silver and Gold plans.
What happens after I apply?
We review every application personally and get back to you. Once you're accepted, we set up your account and mentor profile.
How do mentors earn?
Course authors earn a commission on every sale, consultation mentors set their own rate, webinar hosts earn through sponsored or paid sessions, and student support mentors earn per student in their care. Become a mentor →
